Riverside and beach

The Dourbie river is flowing along the campsite and campers can enjoy swimming or fishing in the river (the Dourbie River is a first category for trout fishing). Rental of canoe is available from Millau (2km from the campsite) to get down the Dourbie river, easy parts with children or more sportive parts, with possible break in the camping before the last 2km of river.

The swimming pool

In the campsite, there is a swimming pool totally renovated in 2018. The swimming pool is open from 10am until 7pm for the pleasure of young ones but also older ones. For hygienic reasons, the swimsuit is compulsory, NO swimming shorts allowed.

Entertainments

Staying in the camping, you will have access to the playground for children, the play room, petanque field, mini golf and a sport field. This big field is used for playing with balls: volley ball, mini soccer, basket panel, home ball and two ping pong tables.

During July and August, for the children between 6 and 10 years old, we organize mini club on Monday and Wednesday morning, face painting on Friday morning and discovering the animal of the mini farm on Friday late afternoon. For older ones and adults, we organize sport tournament such as ping-pong, volley-ball or petanque.

In the evening, family entertainments are organized: welcome drink, campfire, evening performance of magic or juggling, big wooden games, local ‘aveyronnais’ meal (aligot sausages).

Refuge LPO

The campsite is certified refuge LPO and is engaged  to preserve nature and animals, to give up with chemicals treatments and to limit the environmental impact by saving water, electricity and to incite clients to sort their waste.

The campsite is in a large wooden parc with more than 300 trees and is the ideal refuge for local fauna such as beaver, squirrel, hedgehog and many different birds: mallard, common kingfisher, white throated dipper, grey heron, tits, Eurasian nuthatch, hawfinch, redstart, treecreeper, European greenfinch, European green woodpecker, … at night, you will be able to hear owls. The campsite is in the valley between the Causse Noir and Causse Larzac between them vultures, different birds of prey and red-billed chough are flying along the cliffs.

From the campsite, you will be able to discover the main touristic attractions of the area : Gorges du Tarn, Millau Viaduct, Roquefort cheese caves and natural heritage : Causse du Larzac with templar villages, Montpellier le Vieux, Aven Armand, Dargilan pink Cave, Gorges of the Jonte river, Gorges of the Dourbie river with its perched villages Cantobre and St Véran, the vulture lookout, Micropolis insects museum,…

Millau, capital of outdoor sports offers a large choice of outdoor activities: canoe, paragliding, rail-bike, via ferrata, canyoning, mountain bike, caving, biking, bungee jumping, …

Regional events

Millau organizes many events for outdoor sports such as: the Verticausse (trail straight up the Causse) during the week end of 12 and 13 of May, Eurocycle festival from the 10th until the 13th of May, Eiffage viaduct run on the 27th of May, the Caussenarde (VTT trails on the Causse) on the 3rd of June, Natural Games Festival from the 28th of June until the 1st of July, International departure of the 15th stage of Tour de France on the 22nd of July, International Festival of Petanque from the 11th until the 15th of August, the marathon and 100km race of Millau on the 29th and 30th of September, the Cardabelles rally from the 12th till the 14th of October and the Templar trail from the 19th till the 21st of October.
