LPO Refuge
Our campsite is a refuge certified by the French League for the Protection of Birds (Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux) and commits itself to protecting animals by preserving nature, eliminating the use of pesticides, promoting water and energy savings, as well as asking all users to sort their waste.
The campsite is located in a park with more than 400 trees which makes it an ideal refuge for the local fauna: beaver, squirrel, coypu, hedgehog and plenty of birds such as the green-necked duck, kingfisher, dipper, grey heron, titmouse, nuthatch, grosbeak, red tail, creeper, greenfinch, green woodpecker, and many other species. At night, you may have the chance to hear owls. The campsite is nestled in between the Causse Noir and the Causse du Larzac, between which vultures, many birds of prey and red-billed choughs can be found.
